Position Duties & Responsibilities
Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve manufacturing target
Manage the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule
Oversee the hiring, orienting and training of production employees to ensure a competent workforce
Monitor a manufacturing team to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Oversee the regulation of work shift to ensure proper workload distribution
Schedule the maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations
Conduct studies and research to discover a more effective approach to production
Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems
Liaise with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality and specifications are consistent
Conduct assessments to identify mechanical and procedural limitations that minimize work efficiency
Monitor and control a production process to adjust operations in the event of a problem
Oversee the procurement of raw materials and equipment needed for manufacturing
Review and approve timecards for hourly personnel weekly for payroll
Conduct performance reviews, merit increases and promotion opportunities for hourly personnel
Review weekly financials for the finishing department
Lead manufacturing improvement
Ensures all raw materials, supplies and parts are available to meet production demand
Ensures planned KPI’s are met for department, if not follows up on any countermeasures that need implemented.
Training and leadership of employees in a participative, continuous improvement environment
Support scheduling and inventory directives
Productivity management and process improvement
Qualifications, Education & Experience
Strong People Leadership and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Management,
or similar discipline
5-7 years technical experience preferred with:
Folding Cartons (printing, gluing, etc.)
Food Service and Quick Serve Restaurant packaging
3-5 years supervisory/leadership experience
Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00
