Are you an experienced logistics warehouse operations manager with a demonstrated history of job longevity and company loyalty?

Our client, a top 5 international freight forwarder, is looking for their next Warehouse Operations Manager for their logistics facility located in Aurora, IL.

Hours: Primarily 7:00AM-6:00PM Monday-Friday with weekend hours on an as needed basis

Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000/year

Responsibilities include:

Manages and supervises personnel and business activities of the Warehouse under guidance of the General Manager and Deputy General Manager

Responsible for overseeing all Warehouse functions including: receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, customer service, purchasing, P&L, budgeting, safety & security, coordinating with sales, operations planning, information systems and administration to ensure proper staffing and the ability to handle daily customer demand on a consistent basis

Prepare and implement the functional target and plan based on branch/department target and plan

Directs the efficient and cost-effective lay-out, organization and operation of the warehouse

Manages inbound activities related to the receipt and storage of goods, inventory management and claims

Manages outbound activities related to order filling, pick pack, stock replenishment and shipping

Responsible for budgeting, customer service, facility and equipment operation

Administers overall inventory management, productivity, accuracy and loss prevention to ensure that customer requirements are met

Ensures the security and safety of the personnel and facility

Effective communicator, written and verbal with diverse workforce and customer groups

Creates and maintains a positive work environment for all employees

Manage all personnel activities within the department

Ensure all levels of the department are in compliance with company policies

Hires, supervises trains and manages the performance of Warehouse employees

This position will interact with all levels of employees at the branch, including colleagues, leadership staff, and office personnel

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Warehousing/Distribution and/or Business Administration

Minimum of 5+ years in Logistics Management and 5 to 10+ years in the Logistics industry (DEAL BREAKER)

Minimum 5+ years managing and/or supervising 50+ employees (DEAL BREAKER)

Must have experience managing a 300,000+ square foot logistics facility (DEAL BREAKER)

Must have experience managing an operation that processes at least 1,500+ orders per day (DEAL BREAKER)

Must have experience with E-Commerce business in a logistics warehouse (DEAL BREAKER)

Must be able to demonstrate effective leadership in managing warehouse

Knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations and transportation systems

Ability to build productivity plans and evaluating performance to meet production goals

Strong working knowledge of automated inventory control and warehouse management systems

System knowledge of Rewards

Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
