Rate of Pay: $12.00 plus tips
Overview: This position assists guests in their purchases at The Mill, rings up both food, merchandise and alcohol purchases in an efficient and courteous manner as well as prepares limited menu items. Reports to the Lead Cashier.
Responsibilities:
Following all policy, procedures and service standards while performing job duties
Ensuring products are attractively displayed and stocked
Providing service to guests to include explaining the menu items, taking orders, upselling, and securing payment as required
Performing accurate cash handling
Preparing menu items per health and safety standards
Maintaining thorough cleanliness and sanitation of work area and performing cleaning as required following health and safety standards
Emptying trash and cleaning as needed throughout the day
Responding to guest requests maintaining positive interactions
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with the guests and members
Strong math and reading skills
Knowledge of food, beer and styles of service
Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws
Food Handler Card required within 30 days of hire
TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification required within 30 days of hire
Cash Handling/Credit Card training within 30 days of hire
Ability to lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 40 pounds, lift loaded food tray above shoulder, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand for 8-10 hours in a hot environment, bend at waist and perform repetitive foot and hand action
1+ years equivalent food and beverage/restaurant experience or retail cashiering experience required
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience with Micros Point of Sale system a plus
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays
