Role: PC / Deployment Technician

Project Overview: is upgrading their EHR (Electronic Health Record) system. In preparation for their Go-Live, TEKsystems will partner with to ensure their infrastructure meets the operational requirements of select software vender (Epic Systems). TEKsystems is needing a large team of tier I hardware technicians for phases I- V phases.

will break the work into 5 Phases:

Inventory: document all hardware and peripherals so the environment can be assessed and remediated to prepare for Epic Go-Live.

Assessment: validate all hardware and peripherals meet or do not meet technical requirements to comply with the Epic EHR system.

Deployment: install and deploy the newly acquired hardware and peripherals in preparation for Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) and Epic Go Live.

Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR): Epic capable devices need to be tested for all documented functions

Go-Live Support: offer last minute deployment, testing, configuration or routing to sites and devices prior to Epic software cut over and production usage. In addition to activities immediately prior to ‘go-live’, this team is a surge support function for sites once on the software. This team takes direction from the command center and can be rapidly mobilized for onsite device troubleshooting and installation or reconfiguration.

i. PC break/fix in a professional setting

ii. Completed their education – bachelors or associates in computer science or CompTIA Certifications (A+, N+, Sec+, etc.)

iii. High technical aptitude, built their own computer, can showcase their technical ability through screening questions

Job Description (Phases I-V):

Inventory & Assessment: Tier I Technician will inventory hardware, collect data, and input into database systems – will follow an assessment checklist information validation and phase execution

Deployment: Tier I Technician will Image, Deploy and Install all devices on the daily pick lists, update Quickbase with all activities performed each day, and unbox equipment, breakdown the packaging materials and dispose of refuse

Technical Dress Rehearsal: Tier I Technician will be testing workstations and peripheral devices, executing Epic test scripts, to ensure printing queues are created and printers are mapped to the correct workstations, and peripheral devices are working as expected.

Go-Live: Deploy, test, configure last minute devices prior to Epic software cut over and production usage, then provide on-demand support post Go-Live to end users

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Strong computer skills and aptitude

Basic networking skills

Quickly and accurately enter data into database

Strong attention to detail

Analytical thinker and problem solver

Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and personal responsibility

Ability to build strong relationships with team, internal business partners, and end users

Additional Items:

Will be interacting with everyone in the hospital (patients, doctors, nurses), to include close proximity to patients. Trinity is taking strict health and safety precautions as it relates to COVID-19. Will be very rewarding but also very high stress.

Ability to be on feet all day

Need to be able to lift 50+ lbs.
