Lean Six Sigma Specialist
Overview:
Bouquet Collection Services, Inc. is seeking a Lean Six Sigma Specialist who focuses on process improvement and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency and quality within the organization. Utilizing a deep understanding of both Lean and Six Sigma principles, identifies and eliminates waste, reducing variation, and improves overall process performance.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
· Research and stay updated on the latest process improvement techniques
· Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for cross-functional process improvements
· Support the development of a Lean Six Sigma training program
· Coach and mentor employees at all levels on Lean tools, principles, and practices to develop their skills in process improvement
· Drive the implementation of Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, A3 Problem Solving, etc.) across multiple departments
· Implement control plans to maintain process improvements
· Provide training and guidance on Lean Six Sigma methodologies
· Collect and analyze performance data to track progress on Lean initiatives, including key metrics such as cycle time, throughput, and defect rates
· Identify, monitor, and analyze performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
· Drive improvement process initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
· Ensure that process changes result in the desired benefits and are integrated into regular work practices
· Track and report on the progress of implemented projects and measure their success
· Identify areas for improvement and create action plans to enhance processes, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization
· Lead, facilitate, and support Kaizen events, improvement workshops, and cross-functional team initiatives to achieve business objectives
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Engineering or other Engineering Degree, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred)
· Lean certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt/Green Belt Desired) is highly desirable
· 3-10 years of experience in Lean/Continuous Improvement roles within a manufacturing or operations environment
· Proven track record of implementing Lean initiatives and achieving measurable improvements in efficiency and cost reduction
· Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
· Experience with data analysis tools, business intelligence tools and performance management systems
· Ability to lead, coach, and mentor individuals and teams in Lean thinking and process improvement
· Results-oriented with a strong focus on driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
· Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
· Ability to travel to various facilities (Kansas, Joliet, Salt Lake City) as needed
· Available to work overtime and/or consecutive days including weekends during peak seasons or times of high production.
