Verification Engineer
An engineering firm in the low-power wireless IoT space is seeking a skilled Verification Engineer to execute the validation and verification of embedded systems, hardware, and software to ensure they meet requirements across performance, reliability, and compliance. This role involves managing requirements, developing and running test cases, and producing test reports. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of embedded systems testing and be able to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
This is a direct-hire, full time opportunity with benefits. Target salary estimate is $80,000, with some flexibility depending on experience. Candidates must be local to the Raleigh, NC metro area to fulfill the onsite / partial onsite expectations in Morrisville (RTP). No visa sponsorship, relocation assistance, or C2C arrangements are available.
Responsibilities of the Verification Engineer :
Collaborate with verification team members in developing and executing test plans for embedded systems, including hardware, firmware, and software.
Implement verification strategies, methodologies, and best practices to improve testing efficiency.
Automate test procedures to enhance reliability and repeatability.
Execute verification work plans to ensure timely project completion.
Collaborate with engineering teams to align testing efforts with project goals and resolve defects.
Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide feedback to improve product performance and reliability.
Drive regulatory certification testing at local and remote laboratories. Required Qualifications of the Verification Engineer:
Expertise in requirements and verification software tools.
Expertise in test automation, scripting (Python, TCL, etc.), and test framework development.
Strong knowledge of embedded hardware, firmware, and system-level debugging.
Familiarity with compliance testing for industry standards (FCC, CE, ISO, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication, organizational and project management abilities.
Ability to read and interpret functional specifications, datasheets, and application notes. Desired Qualifications of the Verification Engineer:
Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing methodologies.
Knowledge of cybersecurity testing for embedded systems.
Experience in regulated industries such as medical, aerospace, or automotive.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for test automation.
Experience in embedded hardware / software product development .
Certificate in relevant field.
