We are looking for a Semi Experienced Electronics Technician to join our team and assist with the final assembly, component integration, and testing of our professionally manufactured PCB assemblies.
Job Responsibilities:
As an electronics Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
Final Assembly of PCBs
Take delivery of professionally manufactured PCBs and perform the final stage of assembly by adding remaining components (e.g., resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors).
Ensure proper placement and orientation of components to meet quality standards.
Soldering & Component Integration
Perform precise soldering of components onto the PCBs, using both through-hole and surface-mount techniques.
Inspect and ensure all components are securely mounted and aligned according to design specifications.
Functional Testing & Debugging
Power up the assembled PCBs and conduct detailed functional testing to ensure proper operation.
Use a variety of diagnostic tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters) to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the testing phase.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Perform rigorous quality control checks to ensure that each board meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Document any issues found during testing and collaborate with the engineering team to address them.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with engineers to address any design issues or modifications needed based on testing results.
Maintain accurate records of assembly steps, testing outcomes, and any troubleshooting performed.
Provide feedback to the development team for improvements in design or assembly procedures.
Preparation for Final Shipment
After successful testing and validation, prepare the assembled and tested PCBs for shipment to customers or for integration into larger systems.
Ensure that all units are packaged properly and ready for delivery.
Qualifications:
Partial Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
1+ 2+ years of experience in electronics assembly, soldering, and PCB testing.
Strong proficiency in soldering through-hole and surface-mount components.
Experience using testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and technical documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially with complex electronic systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members.
Preferred Qualifications: if you have knowledge of or experience in 1 or more of the following then its perfect fit:
Experience with high-precision, medium volume PCB assembly.
Familiarity with ISO or IPC standards for electronics manufacturing.
Embedded programming and PLC/RTU knowledge. Preferably Motorola”.
Prior experience with automated testing systems or software tools for PCB diagnostics is a plus but not essential.
Basic knowledge of embedded systems or firmware (helpful but not essential).
Coding Experience will be helpful, especially C, and PLC Ladder Logic.(helpful but not essential).
