INTRODUCTION ChildFund Mozambique is a non-profit international organization that promotes societies in which individuals and institutions participate in the enhancement, protection and promotion of children's rights.
ChildFund has been working in Mozambique since 2005 and is headquartered in Maputo, at Rua Padre João Nogueira nº 75 R/C, Bairro Coop.
ChildFund works through partner organizations, governments, businesses and individuals to help create a safe environment where children thrive.
ChildFund currently has program presence in Maputo City, Inhambane Province and is beginning its intervention in Nampula Province, in the Districts of Ribáuè and Monapo.
Context: ChildFund Mozambique is experiencing a few organizational changes which as a result has led to some of the following: Cross-Function Collaboration Need to boost teamwork and foster team spirit Improve staff engagement and employee voice Feedback and building trust To address the above issues, the Management team has prioritized a 1 and a half day for team building event that will provide a platform for staff to better understand the changing work environment, its challenges and how to cope and address them.
PURPOSE AND SCOPE The overall purpose of this assignment is to design and facilitate a team building exercise that will bring together 18 of ChildFund staff to better know and closely engagement each other and build team rapport and trust.
The team building event is expected to use fun and play as an approach for staff to reflect on their commitment, wellbeing and performance at the workplace.
The fun and play should include various challenging games, quizzes and other engaging activities that will strengthen team spirit, trust and collaboration among staff members.
The assignment also includes facilitating processes that would enhance or improve staff communication, conflict resolution, team morale and adapting to organizational changes.
ACTIVITIES/ DELIVERABLES Jointly work with the ChildFund Management to develop a 1 and half day staff team building program.
Design, prepare and facilitate play with fun productive activities that would promote team spirit and encourage an understanding of the role of teams in the work environment.
Deliver motivational talks and facilitate open discussions that will build staff interpersonal communication skills (internal communications, external communications, and confidentiality), Enhance staff skills on how to deal with difficult situation, teamwork and building trust.
Facilitate Staff morale-boosting sessions aimed at improving performance and wellbeing.
Prepare and submit a team-building report with follow-up activities/recommendations.
DURATION AND MANAGEMENT The assignment will be for 1 and a half days, scheduled for 10th April and 11th April 2025.
The identified team building facilitator will closely work with and under the supervision of the Human Resources Specialist throughout the assignment period.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE The lead consultant should have an advanced degree preferably in Organizational Psychology/Organizational Development/Human Resource management.
Proven experience of organizational change management, organizational development and team building.
Must possess practical experience and skills in delivering motivational talks and designing very engaging fun with play activities.
Demonstrated knowledge and advanced skills and at least 4 years of previous experience in the preparation of Team Building for medium and large-scale organizations Excellent facilitation and communication skills in English and Portuguese (oral and written) Excellent reporting and analytical skills necessary for capturing the reviews and suggestions that will emerge from the interactive sessions during the exercise Flexible nature and ability to adapt to changing directions/thinking that may occur during the Retreat Excellent interpersonal skills Interested consultants should submit the following: Technical Proposal: outlining understanding of the assignment, methodology and detailed work plan, list of previous relevant work done and referees for the same, and CVs highlighting experience details of Team Leader and key team members.

Financial proposal:This should be separated from the technical proposal.
It should detail the costs for undertaking the assignment – consultants fees and other related costs.
