Electrical Engineer

Qualifications:

We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in high-voltage substation design and a passion for delivering quality work in the utility or electrical construction industry.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within a utility or electrical construction firm

Specialized experience in High Voltage Substation Design (69 kV and above), including:

Layouts and sections

Medium and high voltage equipment details

Ground grid calculations, layouts, and details

Protection & Control (P&C) design: schematics, single-line and three-line diagrams

Wiring schematics

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with the NEC for cable sizing, grounding, conduit/raceway design, low-voltage panels, and underground cable design is preferred

Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or other CAD software

Knowledge of MS Office for documentation and reporting

Familiarity with MS Project and/or Primavera for project scheduling

Understanding of NETA testing standards

Preferred experience with MATLAB, Mathcad, ETAP, and/or CAPE for electrical calculations and simulations
