Job Description

In this pivotal role as Team Head of Database Services, you will lead a team of highly skilled database administrators and engineers. Your primary focus will be on delivering and operating top-tier database services to support critical business applications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance within our organization.

Lead a team of highly skilled database administrators and engineers to deliver and operate database services to support critical business applications

Oversee the delivery of enterprise-class database administration, including installation, upgrades, and maintenance activities for Oracle databases

Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data security, availability, and performance

Monitor and tune database performance using various tools and techniques to optimize SQL queries and ensure efficient use of system resources

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for complex business requirements

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience managing large-scale Oracle databases in a mission-critical environment. You will bring a deep technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

At least 8 years of experience in managing large-scale Oracle databases in a mission-critical environment

Strong understanding of Oracle database concepts, including versioning, replication, and high availability features

Deep knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases

Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
