Data Center - Senior Project Manager

Job Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and leadership for multiple data center projects simultaneously, developing and implementing project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.

Direct the design, construction, commissioning, and migration of data center facilities, ensuring they meet high standards of reliability, efficiency, and security.

Oversee the implementation of critical infrastructure, including power, cooling, and networking systems.

Develop and manage project budgets, often in the multi-million-dollar range, optimizing resource allocation and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential disruptions, developing contingency plans and crisis management strategies for data center operations.

Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and technical specialists, fostering a collaborative work environment and driving high-performance team culture.

Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, clients, and key stakeholders, providing regular project updates, including progress reports and risk assessments.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred

Over 10 years of experience in data center project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, operations, and emerging technologies

Strong technical knowledge of power systems, cooling solutions, and network architecture

Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex data center projects.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage and conduct assertive negotiations with vendors to secure favorable contracts and terms.

Professional certifications such as PMP, CDCP, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Ability to travel as needed to oversee project sites and attend meetings.

Experience with data center industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ITIL, ISO, OSHA)

Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools
