Responsibilities

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Project Management team on planning, and facilitation of projects.

Assist Project Manager in develpoing project plans, scheudled and budgets

Assist in the coordination and communication of the project activities with team members, stakeholders, and vendors

Assist with creating job master purchase orders to input into accounting software

Assist with identifying investigate and explain job budget variances

Assist with data entry, filing, retrieving faxes and scanning documents into job folder

Participate in project meetings and documenting meeting minutes

Update accounting software with relevant information as needed.

Collaborate with Superintendents and Estimating department to secure pricing for various materials using existing and potential new suppliers.

Assist Field Superintendents with miscellaneous job issues as required.

Print plans/addendum/notices from various plan sites.

Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies

Some college coursework completed.

Excellent attention to detail

Highly adaptable and flexible with ability to work independently and/ or team environment

Highly proficient computer software skills in Microsoft Office and project management software

Strong organization, record-keeping and follow-up skills

Ability to read and understand Civil Plans and understand complex project deliverables via jobsite visit

Ability to understand written procedures, write routine documents, speak clearly, and understand multi-step written and oral instructions in English

Demonstrate good attendance and the ability to multi-task and prioritize

Must have a valid CA Driver's License and good driving record.
