Full Time Civil Engineering Draftsperson

Full-Time (38 ordinary hours per week)

SALARY $80,000 per annum (base salary) + Superannuation

DUTIES

The Civil Engineering Draftsperson is responsible for preparing detailed drawings, plans, and documentation for various civil engineering projects; collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project specifications and regulatory standards.

Main duties include:

• Prepare and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other drafting software.

• Develop site layouts, road designs, stormwater drainage plans, and earthworks drawings.

• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and construction documentation.

• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, Australian standards, and project requirements.

• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to interpret design specifications.

• Review and update drawings based on client and stakeholder feedback.

• Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.

• Minimum one year of civil/structural drafting experience, ideally in a construction or engineering company.

• Strong Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar).

• Experience with stormwater drainage, roads, subdivisions, or structural drafting is preferred.

• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce and partners.
