The Head of Digital and Innovation will spearhead our client’s digital transformation initiatives and drive technological advancements across all facets of the business. This role is responsible for architecting a robust digital strategy that leverages data science and advanced analytics to create competitive advantages, streamline operations, and enhance the customer experience. You will work closely with C-suite executives and lead cross-functional teams that bridge technology, innovation, and business strategy to ensure the organization not only meets but also exceeds market expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Transformation Strategy:
- Define and execute a forward-thinking digital transformation roadmap aligned with the company’s long-term business objectives.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends to keep the company at the cutting edge of the life insurance landscape.
Data Science & Analytics Integration:
- Champion the integration of data science and advanced analytics to drive a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee initiatives that utilize artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics to optimize risk assessment, underwriting, and customer service.
Technology Adoption & Roadmap Design:
- Develop a clear technology adoption roadmap that outlines short-term projects and long-term investments.
- Manage the selection, implementation, and scaling of innovative digital platforms and tools that drive business efficiencies.
Innovation Leadership:
- Foster an environment of continuous innovation by encouraging experimentation, agile development, and creative problem-solving.
- Evaluate partnerships, vendor solutions, and new business models that could provide a strategic edge in the competitive landscape.
Strategic Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a key liaison between the C-suite, technology teams, and other business units to ensure that digital initiatives are well-aligned with overall business strategy.
- Present clear, data-backed business cases and technology roadmaps to executive leadership.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of digital experts and data scientists.
- Ensure seamless collaboration across departments to foster a unified approach to innovation and digital strategy.
Change Management:
- Develop and implement strategies that promote digital literacy and agile methodologies across the organization.
- Guide the company through transitions related to digital innovation, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum value creation.
Performance Measurement:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of digital initiatives.
- Regularly review and refine strategies based on performance data, market conditions, and technological advancements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in digital transformation, innovation management, or related technology roles.
- Established track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex technology projects in regulated industries—life insurance experience is a plus.
- Life Insurance industry experience is a must.
- Demonstrable exposure to data science projects, with a clear ability to leverage analytics for strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- An advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese. Ability to present and communicate with C-Suites.
