Description:
Specialized position requiring skills to install or field repair blow out preventers in accordance with industry procedures to minimize any downtime and maximize utilization.
Responsibilities:
Servicing blow out preventers, pack offs, reel swivels, lubricators, iron and down hole tools etc.
Examine, repair, test, and maintain products at the rig site or in the shop.
Advise company representative on repair or replacement options and costs of products.
Performing and documenting all pressure tests for these components after service
Obtaining and maintaining an inventory of expendable materials and parts for these items
Provide field service and customer support to include, but not limited to equipment removal, tear down, troubleshoot, evaluate, repair, test and install.
Load and unload material for repair projects
Ability to communicate with client, supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel, etc., as it relates to the job.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the BOP system to ensure optimal performance
Participate in safety meetings and drills

High school diploma or equivalent
At least three (3) years’ experience working with servicing BOP’s and/or downhole tools
Experience in managing expendable materials inventory
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Good communications and organizational skills
Ability to lift a minimum of 100lbs and pass the work steps physical
Good knowledge of BOP systems and drilling operations
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
