Machinist

Interprets CAD data, prints and sketches with regard to fabrication and follows written and/or verbal instructions.

Performs secondary operations during the machine cycle such as deburring and straightening.

Inspects parts as they are produced using standard gages, micrometers, indicators, vernier calipers, depth gages, and other measuring devices, to ensure conformity to specifications.

Performs minor preventive maintenance to equipment and maintains coolant levels to ensure a steady supply of coolant/cutting fluids to the machine.

Receives and, when assigned, provides cross-training for other tasks related to department functions and procedures.

Knowledge of basic shop math (metric conversion and arithmetic).

Experience as CNC operator in multiple machine cellular manufacturing operation.

Experience pre-setting cutting tools and setting up fixtures in machines.

Proficient with editing CNC programs and using FANUC controls.
