STACKIT Engineer Lead (m/f/d)

We are looking for a GO Lead Developer to work with our cross-functional team and join our world-class community of talented experts in STACKIT. The GO Developer is responsible for the development and support of individual applications. This involves planning, analysis, detailed design, testing and implementing the components.

The GO Lead Developer adheres to the established lifecycle methodology and practices in accordance to project plans while carrying out their responsibilities. This may include maintaining program libraries and technical documentation of the individual applications.

Making a modern and future-oriented technology choice when creating new applications and providing APIs

Further development and optimization of existing applications and architectures and quality assurance

Planning and implementation of new features and the connection of interfaces and databases

Support of our internal business partners with technical consulting

Contribute to all aspects of software development, you will drive your product from idea to successful go-live

Manage the solution design and new implementations (configuration and development) related to the Commerce Platform domain (PIM, Cost Management, Customer Management)

Together with Product owners, you develop the product strategy and plan its technical implementation

Drive and solve complex problems with creative solutions and state of the art technologies

Work closely with Architects\Solution experts, POs and Development teams in order to provide the solution and effort estimation

Implement safe, extensively tested code

Responsible for the development stack and set the technical direction

Moderate architecture reviews and ensure high software quality

Analyze and provide input for fixing issues\bugs

Develop best practices and establish them in the team. Provide input for refactoring and improving quality for existing code

Engage and work with all involved stakeholders -internal and external (POs, dev teams, testing teams, operations, infrastructure, business)

Support testing for existing and new solutions\implementations

Identify risks and constraints and proactively mitigate them

Support progress tracking for various stages of projects and adapt to difficult situations

Communicate and engage vendors for new requirements or issues

Coordinate Development Team members, assign tasks, delegate

Support on monitoring team capacity and priorities

Experience And Skills You Will Need

7+ years of core development experience in Java/Kotlin/GO

Experience in object-oriented modeling and software design

Passion and enthusiasm for new technologies, such as topics related to software development, Kubernetes and cloud backends

Extensive knowledge of programming using Go will be impressive; any other programming language like Java\Kotlin may be an advantage

High own demand on code quality, performance, maintainability and extensibility

Service Oriented Architecture REST

Hands on experience with developing REST APIs

Knowledge in handling cloud technologies (e.g. dockers, Kubernetes)

Open minded, fast learner

Experienced in technical leading (be able to manage multiple streams in parallel) - projects and initiatives (integration, transformation, upgrade) and capacity planning

Experienced in End-to-End delivery of solution

Experienced in Enterprise architecture

Proactive and persistent

Good communicator, team player, smart worker and adaptable to new environments easily and quickly
