JOB OVERVIEW

This position serves several different roles within the company. This multi-purpose position requires excellent driving skills for our retail store and wholesale deliveries. This person needs to be efficient, organized, and be able to work independently for most of their time. Additionally, this person needs to effectively assist management in overseeing all activities of the warehouses. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of initiative and enjoys performing a variety of different work.

Primary Job Duties:

Delivery Driver

·Safely operate company vehicles and equipment to deliver product to retail and wholesale customer locations and transporting merchandise around the facility.

·Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, adhering to scheduled routes and delivery times.

·Verify delivery items against orders and obtain customer signatures as proof of delivery when necessary.

·Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

·Handle delivery-related paperwork, including delivery receipts and inventory logs.

·Communicate with customers and retail store employees to address any delivery issues, delays, or concerns.

Warehouse

·Oversee daily operations of the warehouses (including off-site warehouse), ensuring products are stored properly and inventory is maintained.

·Assist management on incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspecting and verifying product quality and all associated delivery and food safety documentation.

·Coordinate the receiving, organization, and stocking of inventory (including store merchandise).

·Perform regular stock counts, update inventory systems, and handle any discrepancies.

·Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with all Forbes’ food safety policies and guidelines.

·Maintain and perform daily inspections on forklift.

·Maintain outside delivery area and parking lot area.

·Carries out scheduled cleaning tasks according to Forbes’ food safety policies.

·Collaborate with the Operations Manager and/or CEO to manage product flow and meet customer demand.

Miscellaneous

·“Name drop” souvenir orders as needed

· Print t-shirts as needed

All other duties as may be assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

· Must have a valid VA drivers's license

· Must maintain a "clean driving" record and submit MVR record annually

· Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. from the floor to chest height or higher throughout the entirety of scheduled shift.

·Must be able to interact with customers and co-workers in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner at all times.

· Must be able to stand/walk 100% of the scheduled shift (breaks are provided).

· Must be able to follow and execute instructions

·Must be able to work in unfavorable conditions such as hot and cold temperatures

·Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as required by Forbes Candies.

·Must adhere to all food and safety policies and procedures set forth by Forbes Candies.
