Power BI Business Intelligence Analyst (Mid-level, Secret Clearance or higher required), Arlington, VA (metro accessible)

We are staffing a fulltime position as a Power BI Business Intelligence Analyst (Mid-Level). This is an on-site role in Arlington (metro accessible).

This person will be responsible for integrating, transforming, and visualizing data from ServiceNow, DynaTrace, and Excel to Power BI to support mission-critical reporting and decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of the Power Platform, query development, and federal data governance best practices. You will be working on impactful federal initiatives that improve data-driven decision-making.

Duties include:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for federal clients.

• Integrate data from multiple sources, including ServiceNow, DynaTrace, and Excel, using Power Query, Power Automate, APIs, and custom connectors.

• Write and optimize complex DAX, M queries, and SQL queries to support reporting logic and transformations.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including project managers, analysts, and technical leads, to define business intelligence needs and data requirements.

• Ensure data quality, security, and integrity in compliance with federal standards and agency-specific protocols.

• Automate and schedule data workflows using Power Automate and other tools to streamline reporting processes.

• Document solutions and provide knowledge transfer for ongoing support.

Requirements include:

• Active Secret Clearance or higher

• 5–7 years of experience in federal government consulting/contractor environments.

• Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and DAX.

• Experience ingesting and integrating data from ServiceNow, DynaTrace, and Excel via APIs or direct connections.

• Strong skills in writing and troubleshooting queries (SQL, API-based calls).

• Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization, and BI best practices.

• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, client-facing environments.

Desired qualifications include:

• Minimum Bachelors

• Understanding of federal data compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP).
