Minimum Qualifications : Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate)

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Writes, implements and monitors goals and objectives outlined within the IndividualEducational Plan

Reports progress on goals and objectives

Makes changes to goals based on student need and data

Provides services that implement the educational mission and follows all institutional policies of Metro Early College High School.

Works collaboratively with other instructors to construct and maintain a high quality integrated learning environment

Collects, analyzes and utilizes assessment data to identify students' immediate & long-range needs to develop lesson plans for assignments & activities that meet and extend student learning opportunities

Opportunities to team teach or co-teach

Facilitates learning beyond the school day through office hours

Coaches and counsels each student regarding his/her academic & behavioral progress.

Transparency and willingness to share best practices

Plays multiple roles beyond the classroom including student recruitment and admissions, new program development, communication with multiple districts, partnership development with outside organizations, and collaboration with other center initiatives.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Reports To: Metro Early College Middle School Administration
