We’re Hiring for the 2024-25 School Year!

Join our team at Rockwell Elementary School in Nedrow, NY, supporting our Before and/or After School Program.

JOB TYPE: Part-time, non-exempt

ROLES AVAILABLE: Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and Directors

WAGES: $15.50 – $17.00 per hour (based on position, experience, and qualifications)

What You’ll Do:

As part of our Before and After School Program staff, you’ll:

Lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum — including STEAM, fitness, academics, arts, and homework help.

Create a safe, enriching, and fun space while setting a great example for students.

Communicate with families daily using the Playground App.

Follow all state regulations, school policies, and Healthy Kids Program procedures.

Some roles may involve administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, registration, and team coordination.

Basic Requirements:

You’re at least 18 and have a High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Experience working with children under 13 is a plus, but not required — we value passion and a willingness to learn!

You’re able to pass a background check, including fingerprinting and clearances through NYS Office of Children and Family Services (SEL & SCR).

You have medical clearance to perform the duties safely, including being free of communicable diseases like TB.

You’re a people person — upbeat, dependable, professional, and great with kids, parents, and coworkers alike.

You’re comfortable with physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and staying active with the children.
