We are seeking an energetic and driven Multi-Site Director for our Before and After School Programs in Syracuse, NY.

JOB SUMMARY: As an essential part of our team, you'll oversee several Healthy Kids Program locations, ensuring smooth and effective operations. You'll provide vital support to the Site Director, particularly with staff management, and step up as the lead in the Site Director's absence. Your responsibilities will include frequent collaboration with staff to make decisions, address challenges, and develop strategies focused on short-to-medium-term goals.

PAY RATE: $20.00 per hour

HOURS: Before and After School hours, 25-30 hours per week

JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Ensuring Compliance: Make sure both staff and the program meet OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the expectations of our host school.

Engaging Activities: Lead exciting hands-on activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum, which includes fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. You’ll also support homework completion and be the go-to homework champion!

Management Duties: Oversee key management tasks such as maintaining accurate attendance, handling registration, and ensuring proper staffing levels to ensure smooth program operations.

Communication: Keep parents and family members in the loop by maintaining open communication through the Playground App.

Collaborative Leadership: Regularly communicate with your direct report to ensure they're up to date on daily activities, resolve any issues promptly, and work together as a team to provide the highest quality care while maintaining a positive work environment.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Two years of college, including 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a similar field; plus two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age, with at least one year in a supervisory role in a childcare program or related field.

OR an Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field; with two years of experience working with children under 13 years old, including one year in a supervisory role in a childcare or related field.

OR a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential and two years of experience working with children under 13 years old, including one year in a supervisory role.

OR a School-Age Child Care Credential or another similar credential for the school-age developmental period; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years old, with at least one year in a supervisory role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Be prepared to undergo a background check, including fingerprinting, references, and SEL & SCR through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.

Must be medically cleared by your doctor to perform all duties and be free from communicable diseases, including TB.

You’re warm, friendly, and enthusiastic. Your people skills are outstanding, whether interacting with children, parents, or coworkers. You are professional, reliable, and always on time.

Physical requirements include bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), and staying active to keep up with energetic kids.
