We are seeking passionate and energetic individuals to join our team as part-time Childcare Assistants for our After School Program at Hyde Park Elementary School in Hyde Park, NY.

PAY: $15.50 per hour

SCHEDULE: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Assist with engaging activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, ranging from fitness and STEAM to academic challenges, creative arts, and more! And, of course, provide homework support.

Foster a safe, healthy, and exciting environment where kids can thrive. Be the positive role model they look up to every day.

Stay in touch with parents and families through the Playground App, sharing those special moments and updates.

Ensure adherence to OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and our host school's rules for a smooth operation.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

You’re 18 or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Although 1 year of experience working with children under 13 is great, it’s not a dealbreaker. We value potential and passion!

Be prepared for a background check, including fingerprinting, references, and SEL & SCR through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.

You’ve been cleared by your doctor and are medically fit to perform all job duties, free of any communicable diseases, including TB.

You’re friendly, approachable, and skilled in working with kids, parents, and your team members. Plus, you’re reliable, professional, and punctual.

You’re ready to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the energy of the kids!
