Hi there! We're Yura Yungi Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation (YYMS), an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. Our purpose includes providing comprehensive primary health care services to the Aboriginal populations and others in and around Halls Creek. The service provides primary health care clinical services and population health programs in Halls Creek and at the outlying Ringer's Soak community.

About the Opportunity

The Yura Yungi Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation (YYMS) is seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager based in Halls Creek, WA, to join us on a journey of growth. This role is pivotal as we expand into the aged care facility and increase our staff numbers from 50 to 80.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this senior leadership position is responsible for delivering strategic HR advisory services, ensuring compliance with workplace legislation, and fostering a positive organisational culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consultancy on HR management issues and support organisational development

• Lead and support the HR work unit in alignment with the organisation's vision and values

• Monitor team progress and facilitate performance discussions

• Engage with employees and provide regular and effective feedback

• Address conflicts and grievances in accordance with organisational policies

• Promote a safe and healthy work environment, focusing on mental health

• Perform staff audits, submit compliance reports, and participate in audits

• Manage the organisation's Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Learning Management System (LMS)

We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in HR or a related field, who shares a deep connection with Aboriginal culture. You should have at least 5 years of experience in HR management, demonstrating an ability to navigate the nuances of our unique culture with grace and understanding.

• A keenness to immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture, learning and evolving at every step

• Exceptional listening skills and clear communication, make you the go-to for understanding and resolving complex issues
