Lone Star Rib House is seeking an experienced cook to join our fast-paced, high-volume ribs restaurant. As a Cook, you’ll be working closely with the Head Chef in a fun and energetic environment. The role require attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a passion for delivering high-quality food.
This full-time role is based on a salary range of $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation. The minimum requirement is Certificate III in a Culinary field, or higher, and industry experience.
The main duties are as follows:
• Assist in running the day-to-day kitchen duties
• Prepare, season and cook different foods as per the menu and customer orders,
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene,
• Communicate orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
• Receiving, storing, stock segregation, and keep records of foodstuffs used
• Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently,
• Use methods such as tasting, smelling or piercing cooked food with utensil,
• Portion, arrange and garnish food, and place in different platters
• Supervise and manage junior cooks and kitchen staff
Successful candidates will be on an annual salary of $70,000 to $80,000 Plus Superannuation.
