We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as part-time Childcare Substitutes for the Gowanda Elementary School Program in Gowanda, NY.

PAY: $15.50 per hour

JOB STATUS: Per diem, non-exempt

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead interactive activities based on our Healthy Kids Curriculum, ranging from fitness and STEAM to academic exploration, creative arts, and more! Plus, you'll lend a hand with homework support.

Foster a safe, healthy, and exciting environment where children can flourish. Be the positive role model they can count on every day.

Stay connected with families through the Playground App, sharing important updates and fun moments.

Keep up-to-date with OCFS standards, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and the host school’s guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

While 1 year of experience working with children under 13 is preferred, it’s not required. We value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!

Successful completion of a background check, including fingerprinting, references, and screening through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.

Must be medically cleared by a doctor to perform job duties and free from communicable diseases, including TB.

Friendly, approachable, and dependable. Strong people skills are key—whether interacting with children, parents, or team members.

Physically capable of performing tasks like bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs., and keeping up with active kids!
