Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to collaborate with business and technical teams in designing scalable, flexible, and well-governed data solutions.

The ideal candidate will drive the adoption of enterprise and industry-standard modeling methodologies while delivering practical and resilient data model designs that meet both current and future business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with business and technology partners to understand business requirements and analyze data gaps.

Assess objectives, use cases, and data specifications to define optimal data solutions.

Develop conceptual and logical data models with clear definitions across multiple subject areas.

Design physical data models for operational systems, data warehouses, and data lakes.

Document and present database solutions to product teams, project teams, data engineers, and architecture review boards.

Conduct targeted data analysis to identify risks and inconsistencies, collaborating with business partners for validation.

Identify opportunities to reduce data duplication by leveraging enterprise data models.

Lead work sessions with business teams to define requirements, business terms, and logical data models.

Map technical terms to business terms using data catalog tools.

Provide strategy and accountability for data modeling efforts while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

Stay updated on event-driven processing and Data API advancements.

Apply best practices for complex data gathering, analysis, and reporting.

Act as a technical data steward, collaborating with teams to ensure data accuracy, usability, and governance.

Identify and resolve data issues during project development or in production environments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in data design, analysis, and development, including PL/SQL and ETL tools.

Proven expertise in Database Management Systems, Data API design, PL/SQL, data modeling, and data profiling.

Experience with SAP Power Designer or similar data modeling tools.

Advanced understanding of the database development process, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and troubleshooting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Familiarity with data governance principles and data ingestion, storage, and maintenance processes.

Knowledge of data architecture best practices and ability to prioritize critical data analysis initiatives.

Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.

Knowledge of cryptocurrency is a plus.
