Telecon is looking for an energetic and career minded individual to join our growing team in the US as Talent & Culture Business Partner. This Full-Time position is a hybrid set-up with an opportunity to work remotely as well as out of our office located in Salt Lake City.

The Talent & Culture Business Partner works closely to provide day to day support on all human resource and talent acquisition related activities within their assigned client group. The successful candidate will work closely with Hiring Managers and Operational business unit leaders, acting as an ambassador of Telecon’s values. A strategic HR professional, responsible for aligning business objectives with HR strategies, a change agent in collaboration with the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main point of contact for all US employee inquiries pertaining to HR matters including recruitment.

Enable the candidate and employee journey from recruitment, through employment and offboarding providing timely insights, feedback and guidance.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day hiring and management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Fosters partnerships to deliver value-added service to Leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, culture and its competition.

Act as trusted advisor to leaders, providing HR guidance and remaining agile to support the needs of the business.

HR Operations

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to Leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) while ensuring full compliance with policies, procedures and multiple state legislations.

Manage and resolve complex employee relations challenges and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Work closely with Leaders and employees to improve employee engagement, retention, and increase productivity.

Partner with their Talent & Culture Manager and business unit leaders on strategic initiatives and projects such as organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning.

Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding-related tasks including I9 verification

Responsible for maintaining data integrity in our HRIS through maintenance of employee files and records as required.

Partner with the Talent and Culture team for weekly and monthly reports related to headcount, turnover, recruiting and prepare ad hoc reports, as requested.

Conduct and/or complete employment verifications for US employees

Perform other special projects, as assigned.

Recruitment

Responsible for full cycle recruitment, including posting jobs, resume screening, interviewing scheduling, and offer preparation.

Collaborate with hiring managers to develop and execute recruitment strategies for open positions, identifying talent needs and sourcing qualified candidates through various channels.

Utilize talent acquisition tools like Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and job boards to source candidates efficiently.

Manage candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, providing timely feedback and updates.

Participate in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies

Leverage a variety of sourcing tools and avenues to source active and passive candidates in a timely manner

Develop and maintain a network of contacts, including online recruiting resources, to help identify and source qualified candidates

Collaborate with hiring managers to craft and communicate the value proposition to the candidates effectively in order to attract best in class talent

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.

5 – 7 years relevant human resources experience in a human resources capacity supporting business operations.

SHRM Certified Professional designation considered an asset.

Construction field and/or manufacturing experience is an asset.

Previous experience in an employee relations focused role an asset.

Highly effective communicator and influencer.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competitive priorities in a dynamic setting
