Founding AI Engineer (LLM)

Summary:

Newly-funded seed startup (valued $100M+) is looking to hire a Founding AI Engineer. Our target profile will have 5+ years industry experience as Back-End/Infra/ML Ops Engineer with 1+ years hands-on engineering experience in Generative AI production environments (e.g., RAG, few-shot examples, fine tuning, prompt tuning, agentic workflows, LLM evals, etc.) with demonstrated skills in the following core responsibilities:

Applying LLMs as reasoning engines to domain-specific problems to provide value to a customer

Evaluating and improving end-to end accuracy and latency of AI agents

Creating and enhancing prompts, incorporating best practices

Building and maintaining systems that handle passing data between LLMs and databases

Optimizing LLM call spend and performance
