Assistant Bridge Engineering Project Manager

In the role of Project Manager Engineering Assistant, we'll count on you to:

Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques

Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable), box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects

Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, perform structural load calculations, and assist with geometric layout and quantity development

Review, assign work, and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs

Responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project

Coordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and schedule

Perform other duties as needed #LI-JF1

7 years of bridge design experience is preferred

MS in Civil or Structural Engineering

Caltrans bridge design experience

Experience working with Caltrans District 7, 8, 11 or 12

California PE license

MicroStation, AutoCAD experience

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software

Experience managing junior staff

Excellent communication skills and working in a team environment

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

5 years related experience

Professional Engineer (PE) license

MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
