We're on the lookout for a dynamic Site Director to lead our Before and After School Program at John Brainerd Elementary School in Mount Holly, NJ. As the Site Director, you'll be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday
JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
JOB PAY RATE: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
Ensuring Compliance:
Uphold the guidelines of the OCFS, Healthy Kids policies, and rules from the host school to ensure smooth program operations.
Making it Fun:
Lead hands-on, engaging activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, arts, academics, and more. You’ll also be the go-to for homework help!
Leading Operations:
Manage essential duties such as accurate attendance and registration, as well as ensuring sufficient staffing levels for smooth operations.
Communicating Clearly:
Keep parents and families in the loop through the Playground App, ensuring everyone stays informed.
Collaborating with the Team:
Work closely with your direct report, ensuring timely communication on daily events and addressing any challenges with the team to maintain a positive, efficient environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or another related field to Child Growth and Development; or a Teaching Certification from the Department of Education in Elementary Education, Nursery School, Preschool through Third Grade (P-3), or Teacher of the Handicapped. Additionally, six Early Childhood credits and two years of experience working with children.
OR
A Bachelor's Degree in any other field, plus six Early Childhood credits and four years of experience working with children.
OR
A Head Teacher endorsement from the New Jersey Registry for Childhood Professionals, Professional Impact New Jersey.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must pass a background check, including fingerprinting, references, SEL & SCR via the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
A clean bill of health from your doctor, confirming you’re fit to perform the duties and free from communicable diseases like TB.
Friendly, warm, and positive with great people skills, whether working with children, parents, or team members. You're also reliable, professional, and punctual.
Physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. to keep up with energetic kids.
