Job Details Job Location: McMinnville Campus - McMinnville, OR Position Type: Part-Time (30 hours per week) Salary Range: $1750.00 Salary/month Description Assistant Men's Basketball Coach - Linfield University Location: McMinnville, OR Position Type: Part-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Athletics Reports To: Head Men's Basketball Coach & Athletic Director Linfield University is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Men's Basketball Coach to join our Athletics Department.

This part-time position plays a crucial role in supporting the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, training, scouting, and game preparation.

Key Responsibilities: * Assist in recruiting prospective student-athletes, including attending events and coordinating campus visits.

* Establish and maintain a recruiting database.

* Help organize travel arrangements, game schedules, and pre/post-game meals.

* Assist in practice planning and on-court coaching.

* Support scouting efforts, video analysis, and game strategy development.

* Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes.

* Participate in fundraising and community engagement activities.

* Aid in venue maintenance and event preparation.

* Lead or contribute to strength and conditioning programs (preferred). * Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Qualifications: Required: * Bachelor's degree and at least three years of coaching experience at the college or high school level, or an equivalent combination of education and playing/coaching experience.

* Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

* CPR/First Aid certification (can be obtained on the job). Preferred: * NCAA Division III coaching and recruiting experience.

* Strength and Conditioning Certification (e.g., CSCS). Physical & Work Requirements: * Frequent walking, standing, running, and demonstrating basketball techniques.

* Ability to climb stairs and operate a motor vehicle.

* Evening and weekend availability required.
