Description:

Join a compassionate team where every moment matters!

At Hartford HealthCare, more than 40,000 colleagues come together daily with a shared pride in ensuring the importance of every moment. We invite you to become part of Connecticut's most comprehensive healthcare network.

Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed, general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut. Serving 100,000 residents in Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut, we provide a traditional New England community setting where neighbors help each other while benefiting from the resources of a large health system. Here, you'll experience personalized attention from expert caregivers and physicians who leverage advanced technology within a safe and comfortable patient environment.

As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation) to provide both direct and indirect patient care. You will follow our nursing department's philosophies, policies, and procedures to create unique education and care plans for each patient, while also providing support and education for family members. Your judgment and understanding of patient and family needs will guide your direction of ancillary staff.

The Float Pool plays a crucial role in supplemental staffing across various departments. As a Float Pool RN, you will primarily be part of the 4th floor/Telemetry staff but will have the opportunity to function across departments in a critical care capacity. This role requires substantial experience and knowledge across diverse areas and acuity levels. Float Pool RNs are trained to work in various departments, including ED, ICU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg.

Qualifications:

Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut

Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Preferred experience in Acute Care Telemetry & Critical Care; at least 1 year of recent ICU experience required

With locations across the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for professional development and growth. Here, you will be part of an innovative organization that embraces new technologies and breakthrough treatments while providing community education. We prioritize the well-being of our employees and offer a competitive benefits program to ensure a healthy work/life balance. Every moment matters, and this is your moment!
