There will be multiple principal opportunities for the 2025-26 school year within Olentangy Schools. Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible to hold valid and appropriate licensure for each position with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
Qualifications for the position include: a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and school administration from an accredited college or university; appropriate State of Ohio certification/license; 5-10 years successful classroom teaching and building administrative experience (principal) or 3 years successful classroom teaching and building administrative experience (assistant principal).
Internal candidates (currently employed by the Olentangy Local School District) must submit an internal online application in School Spring.
External candidates must submit an external online application in School Spring and complete an online Principal Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application.
The online Principal Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled "Do Not Reply" with the subject "Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application". Keep in mind that the assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed.
