Description:
Virginia State Police is seeking a support analyst to assist agency personnel in their interaction with the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA). The successful candidate will:
Assist agency personnel in problem resolution by ensuring that VITA support tickets are routed correctly and resolved in a timely manner.
Assist with researching and communicating technical information between the agency personnel and the VITA resources working the problem tickets.
Assist with escalating highly impactful tickets with the VITA help desk.
Typically, tickets will be related to issues with:
User identity management
End user devices such as PCs or printers
Network issues at agency locations
The successful candidate should be eligible for hire by the agency. Power BI skills are a plus.
Required Skills
Help desk experience in an IT environment 5 years
A good general knowledge of IT concepts (e.g., networking, PCs, etc.) 5 years
Familiarity with common office applications (e.g., MS Office suite) 5 years
Excellent communication skills 5 years
Highly Desired Skills
Power BI skills are a plus 5 years
