Bump & Grind Café is a modern café and restaurant in Southwestern Sydney, serving popular Breakfast and Lunch menu to their customers. Due to their expansion plan, with extended service hours and introduction of new dinner menu featuring a mix of Modern Australian, Italian and Lebanese Cuisines, they are seeking the services of an experienced chef.
Full Time Chef
SALARY RANGE $75,000-$80,000 + SUPERANNUATION
DUTIES
• Plan and create exciting menus aligned with the Modern Australian, Italian, and Lebanese theme.
• Estimate food and labor costs and manage food supply orders.
• Oversee food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with the Manager, kitchen staff, and waitstaff to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise the team on best practices.
• Implement food preservation methods for efficiency and quality.
• Prepare and cook high-quality meals with a focus on flavor and presentation.
• Enforce hygiene regulations and ensure a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Certificate IV in Kitchen Management & Diploma in Hospitality Management.
• 2-3 years of experience working in a restaurant with similar menu.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.
• A passion for food and a commitment to excellence in every dish served.
