Position Overview:
As a Retail Manager at Renovation Kingdom, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our high-end bathroom products store. This includes managing a team of employees, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales to meet company financial objectives. You will play a crucial role in the store’s overall performance, contributing to Renovation Kingdom's reputation as Australia's leading supplier of premium bathroom products from renowned Australian brands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
o Recruit, train, and supervise a team of knowledgeable staff who can assist customers with selecting products
o Develop and execute staff training programs focused on product knowledge, customer service excellence, and sales techniques to enhance the team’s performance.
o Schedule shifts and assign tasks efficiently
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to maintain team motivation and meet store targets.
2. Sales and Customer Service:
o Drive sales by setting targets based on store and brand performance, implementing strategies to boost sales and meet growth objectives
o Ensure superior customer service by developing personalized shopping experiences, advising customers on product features, benefits, and installation processes.
o Manage customer complaints or escalations promptly, ensuring issues are resolved to customer satisfaction while maintaining Renovation Kingdom's high standards.
3. Inventory Management:
o Monitor stock levels regularly and reorder premium bathroom products based on trends and sales performance
o Perform regular inventory audits to maintain stock accuracy and prevent shrinkage, while analyzing product turnover to optimize inventory management.
o Organize and update product displays to create a visually appealing layout that highlights the most popular and newest products
4. Store Operations:
o Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is always ready for customers with a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
o Maintain a visually attractive store, ensuring product displays are kept fresh, tidy, and aligned with Renovation Kingdom’s branding guidelines.
o Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, local council laws, and company policies to ensure the safety of staff and customers at all times.
5. Financial Management:
o Manage store budgets, control operational expenses, and track financial performance, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial targets.
o Analyze sales data and customer purchasing trends to identify opportunities for growth, adjusting inventory and marketing strategies accordingly.
o Control costs by minimizing waste, reducing excess stock, and improving resource optimization, while maximizing sales potential through effective promotional strategies.
6. Marketing and Promotions:
o Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute in-store marketing campaigns, local promotions, and seasonal sales initiatives that align with Renovation Kingdom’s branding and objectives.
o Implement company-wide promotional offers and create local strategies to increase store visibility, attract foot traffic, and boost sales.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of work experience in retail management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of sales techniques, inventory management, and customer service best practices.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic financial reporting.
• High school diploma required; a degree in business, management, or a related field is a plus.
