About the Role

We are seeking qualified and experienced Motor Mechanics with a minimum of three years post-trade experience. In this role, you will:

- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify and assess mechanical issues across a variety of vehicles

- Perform essential repairs and maintenance, including engine overhauls, brake repairs, and electrical troubleshooting

- Operate diagnostic equipment to identify complex automotive problems and propose effective solutions

- Follow manufacturer guidelines and industry standards to maintain high service quality

- Keep accurate records of all service and repair activities for accountability and future reference

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques

- Provide clear communication and excellent customer service by explaining repair processes to clients when required

- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, adhering to workplace safety protocols

- Collaborate effectively with service advisors and other technicians to streamline operations and meet deadlines

- Participate in ongoing training programs and professional development to enhance your skills and technical expertise

- Support the training and mentorship of junior technicians and apprentices

- Assist manufacturers in resolving vehicle-specific issues when needed

- Work closely with service advisors and the parts department to ensure efficient workshop operations

What We’re Looking For

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification

- A minimum of three years post-trade experience in automotive servicing and repairs

- Experience working with any of the listed vehicle brands is desirable but not mandatory

- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management

- A proactive learning attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges

- Experience in engine and electrical diagnostics (preferred but not essential)
