Salary: $235,000 – $270,000/year

About the Role

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to design and implement advanced software modules in support of critical programs in Annapolis Junction. In this hands-on role, you will leverage expertise in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, and software-defined radios (SDRs) to deliver mission-critical software solutions within Unix/Linux environments. This position offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging programs of significant scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement software modules in MATLAB or similar design suites

Develop and maintain C/C++ and Python codebases

Integrate and work with software-defined radios (REDHAWK/RFNext, GNU, etc.)

Implement message queue systems for software communication

Utilize development suites (X-Midas, etc.) or C++/Python-based signal processing tools

Design, develop, and implement systems within a Unix/Linux environment

Qualifications & Requirements

U.S. Citizenship Required

️ Active NSA-issued TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph Required

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (4 additional years of SWE experience may substitute for a degree)

20+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (years may be waived for demonstrated expertise with listed technologies)

Technical Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency with MATLAB, C/C++, Python, and software-defined radios

Experience with message queue implementation and signal processing libraries

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
