The Job

Join our dynamic team in Bangalore and play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional software. As our Software Development Engineer in Test, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, translating complex requirements into robust testing strategies. You'll collaborate directly with clients and product owners, crafting automated testing frameworks and driving continuous improvement.

In this role, your responsibilities are:

Dive deep into project requirements and business context, becoming a quality champion.

Partner with clients and SMEs to define test scope and acceptance criteria.

Craft comprehensive test plans and strategies, ensuring on-time delivery.

Design and build cutting-edge automated testing frameworks.

Deliver insightful test reports and measurable quality metrics.

Lead defect triage and drive process improvements through retrospectives.

Ideal Candidate

You possess a minimum of 5 years of comprehensive software testing experience, ready to tackle complex challenges.

You've demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and executing robust automated test suites for web applications, with a strong command of Java-based automation.

You have hands-on experience with Test Automation Frameworks, Gherkin, and REST Assured, enabling you to build efficient and effective testing solutions.

You have proven experience automating API testing and are proficient in leveraging testing frameworks like JUnit or TestNG.

You have practical experience with Selenium WebDriver, Git, Jenkins (or similar CI/CD tools), and defect tracking systems like JIRA, streamlining your workflow.

You possess a solid understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, ensuring seamless collaboration.

You have expertise in defect lifecycle management and are adept at utilizing bug-tracking systems to drive continuous improvement.

You have the ability to analyze application requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive and effective test plans and strategies.

You have a proven ability to generate insightful dashboards and reports on test execution, coverage, and status, providing valuable insights.

You have excellent communication skills, with experience in client interaction and ensuring alignment with quality assurance requirements.

You are deeply committed to ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of applications, driving excellence in every project.

It's preferred if you have ISTQB certification, experience in mobile test automation using Appium, and familiarity with AWS and S3.
