Full Time Chef

SALARY $73,500 + SUPERANNUATION

DUTIES

• Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required

• Follow recipes and presentation specifications

• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Oversee and manage kitchen operations

• Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations

• Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities

• Train apprentices and other kitchen staff

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Looking for hard working and experienced Chef with experience in Indian Cuisine.

• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment.

• Ability to remain calm and undertaken various tasks.

• Up to date knowledge of cooking techniques, charcoal oven and recipes.

• Order and maintain inventory of food supplies.

• Familiar with sanitation regulations.

• Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and cooking Indian dessert.

• Leadership skills.

• Excellent time management abilities.

• Should be specialised in North Frontier Indian Cuisine, which Includes all type of meat and

• vegetables curries.

• Ability to cook different types of Indian Tandoori dishes and Naan breads.

• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs.

• Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements.

• Portioning food, plating, garnishes.

• Must hold a Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or higher with a minimum one year experience in a similar role.
