Sous Chef

What We’re Looking For

Located right outside Zion National Park, we are looking for a Sous Chef to bring culinary excellence to our Farm to Table restaurant. Working at Zion Mountain Ranch provides a beautiful rural setting to live and work in with multiple opportunities for Southern Utah outdoor recreation in your time off. Work here and enjoy all that Southern Utah has to offer!

Responsibilities

Menu planning in association with our farm manager to utilize seasonal produce and herbs

Help create recipes according to our seasonal menu

Cater small groups on occasion

Perform excellent, efficient work in the kitchen

Maintain food safety codes

Help in the management of food inventories and ordering

Help in the management of the back of house team

Qualifications

3 years minimum back-of-house restaurant experience or culinary education

Proven culinary skill – please attach reference photos to the application

Excellent leadership skills with a talent in communication amongst staff

Attentive to detail, talented chef, excellent food safety record

Food safety certification

Zion Mountain Ranch is a resort located just off Zion National Park. Careful management of the land and healthy sustainable food production is at the heart of our operation. What isn’t grown here, our kitchen carefully sources ingredient by ingredient. With high-end cabins and lodges that attract people from all over the world, our beautiful rural setting with bison, horses, chickens, and other animals is like no other hospitality experience. Cordwood, our farm restaurant, is an anticipated culinary experience during our guest's stay.

Staff Requirements

Zion Mountain Ranch is located in a rural setting that is best suited for staff who have their own transportation. The positions we are offering require clear-minded, bright, attentive, pro-active individuals. To this end, we maintain a drug and alcohol abuse free establishment. Our guest experience and perception is our top priority, which requires staff who are well groomed, professional, and congenial at all times.
