Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The role of a Material Handler involves supporting the assembly and material handling teams in production and product packaging. You will use hand and power tools to perform assemblies on an assembly line, following work procedures to complete builds. Additionally, you will be trained in shipping and receiving to support the warehouse and materials team, responsible for shipping out inventory and bringing materials to the production team.

Responsibilities

Perform robotics assembly and testing.

Move materials efficiently.

Collect and analyze data.

Conduct manual assembly tasks.

Test components for quality assurance.

Perform visual inspections.

Track and reconcile inventory.Essential Skills

Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools to assemble and repair large mechanical assemblies.

Dexterity for manual assembly.

Strength and endurance to assemble, install, and test larger components (up to 50 lbs).

Experience with basic power tools.

Ability to follow work instructions provided for each assembly job.

Effective team communication skills.

Capability to train and learn new duties.

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and its tools, including 5S Principles and Kaizen.

Experience with manufacturing execution systems.

Certificate or degree in electro-mechanical fields.

Experience with materials handling, including the use of hand tools and pallet jacks.

Any type of shipping experience.

Ability to read work instructions.

Experience in assembly and warehouse operations (picking, stocking, material handling).Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position operates on the 1st shift from 6:15 am to 2:45 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Reading, Massachusetts.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
