CNC Machinist Shift: 2nd Pay: up to $29 (+$2 Shift Premium)
Job Description
We are seeking a General Machinist with well-rounded skills in operating Mills, Lathes, and Grinders. While programming and major setups are not required, set up experience would be a plus for this role.
Responsibilities
Operate Grinders, CNC mills, and other machining equipment.
Work with Fanuc controllers.
Begin in the Gear grinding department and transition based on work demands.
Read and interpret blueprints, tooling instructions, and work instructions.
Adaptability to work in various departments as needed.
Responsible for documentation and quality inspection.
Calculate dimensions, rotation speeds, feed rates, and machining times.
Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, engineers, and support teams to resolve issues.
Rotate between different department work centers as required.
Load and unload component piece parts weighing up to 25 lbs.
Utilize shop math skills effectively.Essential Skills
At least 4+ years of Machining experience.
Ability to perform quality inspections.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and basic shop math skills.
High school diploma or GED.Additional Skills & Qualifications
CNC set up experience is a plus.

Work Environment
The machinist role operates within a spacious, organized, well-lit, and clean machine shop recently equipped with AC. You will be working in a shop with CNC Mills, Grinders, a full manual machining department, and small quality and deburring departments. The company focuses heavily on the Aerospace market, providing high-quality custom precision gearing and gearboxes for various industrial markets. Must be open to working 5-10 hours of overtime with optional Saturdays and Sundays. The position is primarily for the 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday), with training on the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm).
