Job Description

Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., NIC, RID).

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and its cultural nuances.

Previous experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Knowledge of special education processes and terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for deaf or hard-of-hearing students, facilitating access to the curriculum.

Maintain accurate records of interpretation services provided and monitor student progress.
