Position: Tooling Supervisor
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Summary:
The Tooling Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the tooling department, including the maintenance, repair, and design of tools and dies. This role ensures safety compliance, manages tooling budgets, supports production needs, and leads a team of technicians to maintain quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and train tooling staff; ensure safe and efficient operations
Maintain, repair, and manage tooling equipment and inventory
Develop tooling procedures and ensure adherence to production and quality schedules
Collaborate with engineering and production teams on tooling for new and existing products
Oversee tooling priorities, manage work orders, and coordinate contractor support if needed
Monitor tooling costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives
Stay current with tooling technologies and industry advancements
Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in tooling and manufacturing
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
Proficiency in CAD/CAM and Microsoft Office
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Experience with budget management and tooling problem-solving
Knowledge of safety regulations and production standards
Full-time
