Position Summary:
Generator Electrical Design, Specifications, Plant Support and Customer Application Support
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, design and test new generator electrical designs to meet customer specifications
• Provide key customer application support for existing products
• Frequent communication with customers on new developments
• Provide technical support to manufacturing plants on generator specifications
• Evaluate existing generator designs to improve the manufacturability of the generator
• Provide technical support to other functional areas as needed
• Work with Lab technicians on testing requirements
• Develop designs per Agency requirements
• Work with ME, BOM technicians
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and increasing responsibility
Desire to work hands-on in manufacturing plants and customer sites on diesel driven generators

Minimum requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Knowledge/Training:
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of rotating electrical equipment
• Understanding of AC power generation and power grid
• Familiarity with electrical and safety standards
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications
Experience:
• Experience with Electrical Equipment industry a plus
• Academic experience with electro-magnetic theory and concept
• Working in an engineering environment and assessing non-conformities both from the factory/ in the field
