CNC Machinist/Programmer

Looking for a highly skilled CNC Machinist for a machine shop in Buffalo, NY!

-Long term role with room to grow. Pay varies based on experience - up to $38/hr

-1st shift hours

JOB DUTIES:

-Operate manual and CNC machines to turn, mill and grind various products to specifications

-Operate, program and monitor multiple machines at once

-Calculate and set controls to regulate machines for variances such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth/angle of cut, etc.

-Read and interpret blueprints or sketches per specification

-Perform quality checks on products as needed

-Perform established routine maintenance on machines as scheduled or needed

-Record all job activities

-Communicate with co-workers and managers as needed

-Maintain a clean and safe work area

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must have 3+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably with lathes and mills

-Must be proficient in setting-up and operating 3 Axis CNC lathes, 4 or 5 axis preferred

-Programming experience is required

-Must be able to decipher blueprints in order to define dimensions and tolerances for various production parts

-Must have own basic machining tools - calipers, micrometers, etc

-Must have high level of mechanical aptitude and be able to work well independently
