We are seeking a Clinical Coordinator that is passionate about patient care to join our Springfield, MO Team!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing faxes for assigned clinics
Answering calls for assigned clinics and providers
Facilitates referral requests
Tracks patient care - retrieves prior notes/documentation, schedules next appointment, schedules for imaging, schedules physical therapy, schedules chiropractic appointments
Conducts a quality review of notes and labels to ensure compliance, completeness, and verifies that the correct orders, referrals, and recommendations are documented properly
Verifies the medical lien has been completed and sent for each patient
Preparing a patient’s chart prior to provider examination
Preparing patients for their examination
Assisting providers during examinations and procedures
Taking and documenting patient information and medical histories
Explaining procedures to patients
Assisting with fluoroscopy during pain procedures
Performing EKGs
Drawing blood
Recording vital signs
Ensure treatment areas are well maintained, stocked, neat, and clean
Perform additional administrative functions when needed
Follows HIPAA guidelines when accessing and sharing patient information
Maintains patient and business confidentiality
All other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma/GED
Medical assistant certification is preferred
Medical assisting experience: 1 year - Preferred (New graduates will be considered)
Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures
Friendly, professional demeanor and positive attitude
Must be able to multi-task
Basic knowledge of standard medical terminology
Able to maintain the confidentiality of private information
Excellent customer service skills including outstanding phone, written, and verbal communication skills
Full-time
