UI/UX Front-End Developer

Codeworks is an IT Services firm, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships.

Our client located in the Lansing, MI area is looking for an UI/UX & Front-End Developer to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This role will work onsite in Lansing, MI in a hybrid model. THIS INDIVIDUAL MUST RESIDE IN MICHIGAN AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION.

This individual will join a team that currently maintains 16 applications developed with legacy technologies, for a modernization project. These applications are critical to supporting various operations. This modernization initiative aims to rebuild these applications using current, supported technologies to reduce risk, enhance system stability, and support long-term organizational needs.

Other responsibilities include:

Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and transform them into effective UI/UX designs and front-end solutions

Design and prototype web applications using Adobe XD, Figma, or similar tools

Translate designs into high-quality, responsive, and accessible front-end components

Develop and maintain web interfaces using HTML, CSS, Tailwind, or SASS

Build interactive web experiences using JavaScript or TypeScript and frameworks such as React or Angular

Use version control tools (e.g., GitHub, Azure Repos) for collaborative development

Participate actively in Agile workflows, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and solution-oriented team environment

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:

Proficiency with Adobe XD or Figma

Experience in front-end implementation (HTML, CSS, Tailwind, or SASS)

5+ years of experience designing web applications

5+ years of experience with UI/UX design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or similar

5+ years of experience converting designs into functional front-end components

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Tailwind, or SASS

Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps

Experience working with modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, NPM)

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Clear and effective communication skills

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-based, agile environment

Portfolio demonstrating relevant UI/UX and front-end work is required

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $60/hr and $70/hr. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
